About Sunwa.AI
We are building Sunwa.AI for the two kinds of people Indian law leaves behind: those just starting out in it, and those caught up in it with no one to turn to.
The problem
In India, the law is expensive, intimidating, and mostly written in English. A young advocate in her first years can't afford the research databases the senior bar takes for granted. A clerk keeps a practice running on memory and paper. A law student learns from textbooks that don't talk back.
And further out, beyond the profession entirely, is the person who got a scary notice, a loan-recovery threat, a police summons, or a contract they cannot read — often with no money, and sometimes unable to read at all. For them the law isn't a career or a subject. It's something that happens to them, usually when they are most vulnerable to being pressured or scammed.
Our approach
Voice-first. You can simply talk to Sunwa.AI — describe the facts of a notice, ask what a section means, draft an agreement out loud. No forms to wrestle, no jargon to decode.
Vernacular. It listens and replies in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi, because access to the law should not depend on the language you think in.
Verified. This is the part we care about most. Sunwa.AI never invents law. Every statutory section and every citation is checked against the official source before you see it — answering directly the Supreme Court's concern about AI tools producing hallucinated cases. We would rather say “we couldn't verify this” than hand you something that looks right and isn't.
Who it's for
Everyone below the senior bar — law students learning the bare acts, clerks keeping cases on track, and advocates in their first fifteen years who do the work without the big-firm budget. Sunwa.AI gives them research-grade tools, court-ready drafting, and a workspace for their matters, priced for people who are building a practice, not coasting on one.
And, just as importantly, the ordinary public. Nyay Saathiis our free citizen layer — no login, no literacy, no money required. Photograph a frightening notice and ask “is this real?”, hear in your own language what it means and what (if anything) you actually have to do, and get pointed to real, free government help. It is the part of Sunwa.AI that exists purely to make sure no one is scammed or bullied simply because they couldn't read the page in front of them.
Sunwa.AI provides AI-assisted legal information, not a substitute for advice from a licensed advocate. Always verify before relying. For anything serious, speak to a qualified advocate.
